(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Brandon Flowers feels he "really connected" with his fans when he released his solo album.
The Killers reunited last month following a hiatus which saw frontman Brandon work on his own debut record, Flamingo. The flamboyant rocker enjoyed the opportunity to release solo material and believes his supporters were also enthusiastic about the record which featured tracks including Crossfire and Only the Young.
"I felt like I really connected with something on Flamingo with the stories," he explained. "I really want to tell stories that connect with people."
The Killers are currently working on a new album and have already written several songs which could make the final cut. Brandon, 30, claims that the experience of releasing a solo album has improved his songwriting skills and he is confident this will make for an even better album with his bandmates.
"I think I was more cohesive and they were more fully realised [on Flamingo]," he added. "So hopefully I'm getting better and that's really what I'm going for." (C) Cover Media
