(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie spent 3,000 on a curry for their friends.

The Hollywood superstars have bought a house in Richmond, London, where they are currently living. This week they decided to treat a group of friends to a meal, which may have been to celebrate Angelina's 37th birthday on Monday.

They went to a local Indian restaurant where staff were astounded by how much they spent.

"They couldn't believe it when Brad and Angelina Jolie walked in they'd been given no prior warning," a source told British newspaper The Sun.

"There were five friends and two of their bodyguards there and they ordered a mountain of food and alcohol. It might seem hard to believe that they ran up a bill of nearly 3,000 at a normal curry house but they are really generous and extravagant."

The end total was so high because the group enjoyed champagne and expensive wine with their dinner. In the end the generous stars splashed out 2,935, after lavishing staff with a 733.75 tip.

The stunned waiting staff approached the superstar couple for a commemorative picture, but this time around Brad and Angelina declined.

"They said that they were just relaxing and would do one next time they came in," the insider explained.

The pair are understood to have had takeaways brought to their home from the restaurant, called Mogul. It is the same eatery that Russell Crowe frequented when he spent time in the UK while filming Robin Hood. (C) Cover Media
