(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Taryn Manning is "very proud" of Britney Spears and thinks the singer is an "amazing mom".

Taryn, an American television and film actress, co-starred alongside Britney in the 2002 film Crossroads and the two have remained friends since. Since Crossroads was made, Britney has been through a lot in her personal life.

She gave birth to two children - Sean Preston and Jayden James - went through a divorce and custody battle with Kevin Federline and suffered from bouts of mental illness.

Taryn gives her an abundance of credit for Britney's strength in the face of these challenges.

"I talk to her every now and again," Taryn told OK!. "She's doing really well. She's come a really long way. She's overcome a lot of adversity, and I'm very proud of her, and so is her family and her management. They stood by her, and now look at her record it's huge!"

Britney is currently on a worldwide tour for her newest album Femme Fatale. Despite being on the road, Britney still makes time for her children.

"I talked to her right before she left for tour, because I was with her and her manager," said Taryn. "She's always with the kids. She's a very good mother, and she's all about her children. She's an amazing mom."

Taryn also approves of Britney's current boyfriend, agent Jason Trawick. Britney and Jason have been dating for over a year and Taryn is thrilled to see them together.

"[Jason's] awesome," said Taryn. "He's an amazing agent, and he loves her and he loves her children so much. They're actually a very, very nice family. They make a really nice, complete family."

Britney Spears is currently performing across North America for her Femme Fatale tour and is preparing to perform in Europe in September. (C) Cover Media
