(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Britney Spears' parents are "over the moon" about her engagement to Jason Trawick.

Britney accepted Jason's proposal to marry over a romantic dinner Thursday night.

The pop star's parents are absolutely elated that the pair will be wed.

"Brit's folks are simply over the moon that Jason will become a member of the family," a source told RadarOnline.

"Her parents love and trust Jason with their daughter."

Jason has an excellent relationship with Britney's family. The star's mother Lynne believes that he is a great match for her daughter.

"For a long time it was uncertain if Britney would ever be able to find true happiness and love because of her various mental health issues, but Jason is so patient, loving and understanding, and fully supportive of Britney," the source continued.

"Jason is very close to Britney's mom, Lynne."

It is reported that the pair will celebrate their engagement at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas tonight.

This will be Britney's third marriage.

The 30-year-old has two boys from her three-year marriage to Kevin Federline. She also had her 55-hour union to childhood sweetheart Jason Alexander annulled in 2004 after the pair wed in Las Vegas. (C) Cover Media
