Britney Spears is planning to rent a beachfront home in Malibu for the summer.

The singer was spotted looking around a property over the weekend. She was dressed casually as she took photos of the house with her fiance Jason Trawick and her two sons Sean Preston and Jayden James.

"The house she checked out is for lease at just under $14,900 a month, and is also for sale for $7 million, but Brit's people said she was only interested in a summer rental," a source told RadarOnline.

Britney was also accompanied by her assistant and a team of bodyguards. The 30-year-old X Factor judge is believed to have spent around four hours looking at the house.

"They all seemed to really love it," the source added.

The five-bedroom property is situated on the sand and boasts stunning ocean views and decking on each of its three levels. It also has a newly re-modelled kitchen, vaulted ceilings, 4.5 bathrooms, and the master suite situated at the top of the house has its own private sun deck. There is a studio apartment attached.

Britney last lived in Malibu when she was married to Kevin Federline.
