Spears Hold it against Me" shared the number 16 slot with Madonna s Frozen" which was at No. 16 on March 7, 1998. Mariah Carreys 'Dreamlover' made it at number 12 on August 14, 1993.According to Nielsen BDS, the songs which are featured in the pop list are actually the songs which are played on 130 mainstream top 40 radio stations. Spears Hold it Against Me was played on all of the 130 station between January 10-16 when the findings were recorded for the charts.

It also recorded a 36.4 million of listeners tuning in for the song .The program director MoJoe Roberts of KHOP added that Spears had failures in her life but whenever she churns out something new we all look forward to it. Roberts also added that often they wait for the audience response to a track but this time Spears has managed to break through with her hit single. The audience seemed to have loved it.

It now plays on Dance Airplay at No. 24, Rhythmic No. 37 and Adult Pop Songs No. 40.It is also estimated that Spears latest will culminate into 400,000 in first-week in terms of download sale. It is also going to create history when Spears latest will be the eighteenth song to feature as number 1 on the Billboards since its inception in 1958.
