(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Brooke Shields managed to compose herself after a castmember referenced her iconic Calvin Klein adverts on stage.
The actress plays Morticia Addams in the Broadway production based on the famed TV and movie series. However, she was faced with a blast from the past when Jackie Hoffman, who plays Grandma Addams, cheekily threw in the line "Nothing gets between me and my Calvins".
It was a reference to the iconic and somewhat controversial 80s Calvin Klein adverts, which saw a 15-year-old Brooke utter the famous line. Brooke managed to keep a straight face following the improvised line, and, according to the New York Post, managed to see the funny side afterwards. The publication reports that "she and the cast laughed about it at the after party at the Empire Hotel".
Brooke, who has also starred in Chicago and Cabaret on stage, replaced Frasier star Bebe Neuwirth in The Addams Family.
"When the producers asked me to come see the show a few months ago I found it to be wonderfully entertaining, funny, clever and even touching," she said recently. (C) Cover Media
