Harry Lennix joins Superman reboot

(Cover) - -No story type selected- - Harry Lennix has signed on for the new Superman movie.

The actor, best known for playing Commander Lock in the final two Matrix movies, will star as General Swanwick in Man of Steel.

Harry, who also starred in Ray, will appear alongside Russell Crowe once more, after starring with the actor previously in State of Play.

Directed by Zack Snyder and produced by Christopher Nolan, Man of Steel will feature Henry Cavill as the superhero, with Amy Adams playing the intrepid reporter Lois Lane. Kevin Costner and Diane Lane will play the adoptive Earth parents of Clark Kent Superman's Earth identity - while Revolutionary Road's Michael Shannon will star as General Zod, a character made famous by Terrence Stamp in 1980's Superman II. Russell Crowe will play Superman's dad from Krypton. He was last played on the big screen by Marion Brando.

Man of Steel will be released in 2012. (C) Cover Media
