(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Cameron Diaz is reportedly keen to star in a movie about baseball alongside Alex A Rod Rodriguez.

The stunning actress has been linked to baseball star Alex for many months, although the pair are reluctant to discuss their romance.

Hunky Alex, 35, plays for the New York Yankees, and it has been claimed that 38-year-old Cameron has been inspired by her boyfriends career and wants to make a movie about the sport.

"Cameron actually has an idea for a romantic comedy set around Major League Baseball," a source has revealed.

"She very excited about developing her own projects and the fact this one is about a baseball player means she has good reason to spend more time with A-Rod and the Yankees. She's even thinking that Alex could star in the movie with her."

It is thought Cameron, who has appeared in hits such as There's Something About Mary, Vanilla Sky, and Gangs of New York, is eager to follow in the footsteps of actresses such as her close friend Drew Barrymore and work on her own film ideas. In terms of acting parts, Camerons career is going from strength to strength right now. She is set to appear in a new version of 1966 heist movie Gambit, alongside Oscar-winner Colin Firth, Alan Rickman and Sir Tom Courtenay. (C) Cover Media
