The English actress impressed critics with her portrayal of lovelorn teenager Jenny Mellor in 2009s An Education a role which gained her an Oscar nomination.

She has also appeared in Pride & Prejudice and Never Let Me Go, among other films.

Despite her blossoming profile, Carey argues that her world isnt any different, apart from her increasingly hectic schedule.

My life hasnt really changed. Ive had more work opportunities but my life isnt any different, she told Look magazine. I dont have to alter anything about my life really.

Carey plays Kathy in the film adaptation of Kazuo Ishiguros novel Never Let Me Go. And the 25-year-old enjoys it when the public discuss her role even if the comments are negative.

I was sitting in a gondola a Telluride Film Festival with six people who had just watched Never Let Me Go, she said.
