Carey Mulligan not ready for Botox

8th December 2010

(Cover) - EN Star Style - Carey Mulligan was shocked that a dermatologist in Los Angeles advised her to get Botox at the age of 25.

The British actress, who has starred in An Education and Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, originally went to a Californian doctor to get help with getting rid of some lines underneath her eyes.

However, much to Careys astonishment, the professional was quick to recommend her having Botox injected which is employed to temporarily reduces the appearance of severe frown lines.

"I said, 'I have some lines here under my eye and they're annoying, what can you do?' He looked at my face and said, 'We'll just drop some Botox in here and here...' Carey explained to the British edition of Elle magazine. "I said, 'What the ----? I'm only 25, are you joking?' So I can't move my face? Isn't that, well, the antithesis of what I'm trying to do as an actress? Only in LA would someone try and give you Botox when you're 25 years old."

The actress has also confessed that she often feels shy and embarrassed wearing revealing clothing on the red carpet and in front of press photographers.

Instead, the short-haired celebrity sees herself as a more conservative dresser, which matches her personality.

"I've never felt like a sexy person. I've always felt like a sensible person. I've always felt absurd wearing anything revealing," she divulged. (C) Cover Media
