(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Carrie Underwood is aiming to "take listeners on a journey" on her new album.

The country singer will release her record Blown Away tomorrow.

Carrie admits that she is extremely anxious about the release, but hopes that fans will enjoy the tunes.

"Yeah, [I'm nervous] just because what if nobody buys it!" Carrie gushed on the Elvis Duran and the Z100 Morning Show radio programme Monday. "You never know. There are no guarantees in life or in music and it can get scary, but there's no turning back now!"

"It's been a while for me since I've had an album out, so I'm excited. It's very diverse. The songs are really descriptive, it's like reading an awesome book or seeing some great movie. We take you on a journey... we go from dark and stormy to really cool and organic to kind of redneck at the end."

Carrie, a native of the state of Oklahoma, embraces her inner country girl. Her speech is reflective of her roots.

"[My accent's] kind of unavoidable," Carrie said. "When I go home or I talk to my mum or somebody on the phone for awhile, [my husband Mike Fisher] can tell, he's like 'Who have you been talking to?' But because my husband is Canadian I got this weird Tennessee-Oklahoma-Canada accent going on."

Blown Away will be released in the US and Canada May 1. (C) Cover Media
