Stars from various film industries were in Hyderabad to attend the Celebrity Cricket League Season II curtain raiser that was held Tuesday night at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre at Novotel.
It was literally raining stars as most of the top celebrities of film industry turned up for the event, including Salman Khan, Riteish Deshmukh, Boney Kapoor, Sohail Khan, Sharth Kumar, Radhika, Suniel Shetty, Sridevi, Venkatesh, Sudeep, Vishal, Shriya Saran, Jeet, Lakshmi Rai, Priyamani, Sanjjanaa, Aindrita Ray, Charmee, Sameera Reddy, Genelia, Ambareesh and Bharath turned up in their respective jerseys.
In other words, in its second edition, the Celebrity Cricket League is bigger, starrier and sexier than ever before.
This year, the Bengal team is owned by Boney Kapoor and Sridevi and the Malayalam team by director Priyadarshan and superstar Mohanlal.
Avid cricket lover Vishnu Manchu had to sell his stakes in Telugu Warriors to the AMR Group, a construction giant owned by Mahesh Reddy for reportedly Rs 5 crore. 'He will be playing however,' sources said.
