(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Channing Tatum has admitted he only gets nervous when other people doubt him.

The 30-year-old American actor has earned himself a legion of adoring fans across the globe after charming female cinemagoers with roles in films such as Public Enemies and Dear John. He came to prominence in 2006 movie Step Up, a drama about a rebellious street dancer who lives in a poor neighbourhood.

The hunk wowed audiences with his athletic prowess and impressive sense of rhythm, although the star admits he does suffer from nerves when it comes to completing stunts or acrobatic feats on set.

You know when someone is so nervous about something, it makes you doubt yourself?

Like on Step Up, I was going to do this back-flip off the car. That's something I do all the time.

By the time it was time to do it, I was like shaking, because everyone was all, Are you sure you want to do this? But then I did it, and it was fine, he revealed in GQ magazine.

The muscular star is well aware of his sex symbol status, and rather than try to detract from it, he feels it is something he should embrace. That said, he doesnt want to be known solely for his physical attributes.

No one's calling me for lawyer roles, he added. I still have a lot to prove to myself. (C) Cover Media
