(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Chris Brown wants to reward the female fan who returned his $22,000 diamond watch.

The American singer accidentally threw the gold Rolex watch into the crowd at the beginning of his performance at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) on Sunday night.

His bodyguard went into the audience afterwards and asked fans if they had come across the expensive timepiece.

Much to the delight of Chris, one honest person came forward to return the item.

The R&B heartthrob now hopes to reward the fan, who he didn't get to meet after the watch was handed in.

"Chris' bodyguard didn't get the name of the girl who returned the watch," a representative for the star told TMZ. "But they're hoping she'll contact them so Chris can personally thank her and reward her with tickets and backstage passes to his new tour."

Chris was thrilled to be reunited with his expensive piece of jewellery and has been wearing it ever since. (C) Cover Media
