Chris Hemsworth was "asked" to punch his Avengers Assemble co-star in the face to make fighting scenes look more authentic.
The Australian actor plays Thor in the hotly-anticipated Marvel Superhero film. The movie boasts a star-studded ensemble cast including Robert Downey Jr., Samuel L. Jackson, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson and Tom Hiddleston.
Tom plays villain Loki in the picture and was filming an unconvincing fight scene with Chris when he came up with a fool-proof plan to making it look realistic.
"Chris Hemsworth punched me in the face, but I asked him to do that, so I forgive him," Tom told E! Online.
"We were doing this fight scene and [director] Joss [Whedon] was saying, 'Guys, I feel like it's just really, well, it just needs to be more. I'm just not really feeling it.'
"So we're trying to do it, and I was just like, 'Chris, just punch me!' It was great, it looks amazing."
Tom also had combat scenes with the Hulk, who is played by Mark. The actor flung himself across the room after being hit by the green muscleman.
"I landed on my left elbow. I felt like such a t*t because it was completely self-inflicted. Nobody did it to me," he embarrassingly admitted.
