The 27-year-old Australian actor portrays Marvel Comics character Thor in the current cinema smash of the same name, and he plays the same role in upcoming movie The Avengers, set for release in 2012.

In The Avengers Chris will be joined by his alter-egos on-screen sibling Loki, played by Tom Hiddleston, and Chris is thrilled to get the chance to collaborate with Tom again.

"[It's great] to have my brother there. Even if we don't get along," the actor told MTV. "[Hiddleston] is fantastic. [He gave] an incredible, incredible performance in the film, and he's going to do the same in this one."

Directed by Joss Whedon, The Avengers also stars A-listers such as Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson and Chris Evans in superhero roles. Chris hinted that audiences can expect plenty of tension between the heroic characters.

"Well, you'd want it, wouldn't you? Otherwise, why are we all there? I think it would be safe to say you can expect something like that," he added. (C) Cover Media
