Clark Gregg wants Marvel TV show

(Cover) - EN Movies - Clark Gregg wants a television programme based on the Marvel Universe's peacekeeping crew to be made.

The 49-year-old US actor is famed for his portrayal of Agent Phil Coulson in Marvel movies such as Thor, Iron Man and Iron Man 2, and will reprise the role in 2012 action sci-fi adventure The Avengers.

His character is an agent with the Marvel Universe's Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division (S.H.I.E.L.D.) and Clark thinks a television show based on the adventures of the organisation would be ideal.

"In a lot of ways, S.H.I.E.L.D. and Agent Coulson really lend themselves to a TV show because it's normal people," he told MTV News. "It's real people dealing with extraordinary things."

Clark also took the time to discuss television series Ultimate Spider-Man. The actor will again by portraying Agent Phil Coulson in the show, and dished some details on what fans can expect.

"It's been revealed today that I'm already doing Ultimate [Spider-Man]," he beamed.

"Which is about Spider-Man and a couple other soon-to-be-released Marvel superheroes who are hiding out undercover in a high school in New York, and Agent Coulson is hiding out as their principal, keeping an eye on them and taking things way too seriously." (C) Cover Media
