The makers of 'Manikarnika The Queen of Jhansi' starring Kangana Ranaut in the lead role has finally dropped its trailer. We are introduced to the bravest of lady warrior with the responsibility of the entire Kingdom. While the trailer begins with the entry of Kangana as Jhansi needed an emperor for their people and here we have the sword fighter Rani Lakshmibai giving sword lessons.
The trailer further proceeds towards the narrative that unfolds the desire of the British empire and certain pivotal characters are given away in the trailer. Danny Denzongpa as Ghulam Ghaus Khan looked surreal. Atul Kulkarni as Tatya Tope, the major general and Queen of Jhansi's advisor was authentic as well. We just couldn't see the more of Ankita Lokhande as Jhalkaribai as only a few glimpses of her were shown in the trailer. Click here to watch Manikarnika The Queen of Jhansi official trailer.
Kangana's character development is taken care of completely as she goes on to play this larger than life role. Carrying her little child on the battlefield gives us chills. The music of the film is laid by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and lyrics are written by Prasoon Joshi. Background score by Sanchit Balhara and Aknit Balhara.
Manikarnika has been bankrolled by Zee Studios and Kamal Jain. The supporting cast includes Suresh Oberoi as the Maratha empire's last Peshwa Bajirao II, Danny Denzongpa as Ghulam Ghaus Khan, and Atul Kulkarni, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Ankita Lokhande and Kulbushan Kharbanda in major roles.
The film is slated to release on 25th January 2019.
