Now that Vijayakanth has taken a break from acting thanks to his busy political schedule, the Captain is planning to pass the baton to his son, Vijaya Prabhakaran.

"The young man, who is currently doing his under graduation at a reputed colleged on the outskirts of Chennai, will soon don the greasepaint. The DMDK president has made a decision on this front," sources say.

It is said that a team led by Vijayakanth's brother-in-law L K Sudeesh has been formed to zero in on script, director and other things related to the maiden acting venture of Vijaya Prabhakaran.

The film is expected to be produced by Captain Cine Creations, a production firm run by Vijayakanth's family. "Vijayakanth wants a mass entertainer as his son's first film. Things will take a final shape soon and an official announcement will be made after that," add sources.
