Members of the Ad Hoc Committee of Tamil Film Producers Council on Tuesday registered a complaint with the police alleging that S. A. Chandrasekhar and his supporters were planning to launch a 'murderous assault' on them.
The producers’ team, led by Ibrahim Rowther (the Chief of Ad Hoc Committee), said in their complaint that Chandrasekhar was angry at them for removing him from the post of the president of Producers’ Council.
'Hence he and his supporters are planning to hire goondas to assault us. We request the police department to give us adequate security and to safeguard our lives,' they said.
Meanwhile, Chandrasekhar issued a statement on Tuesday stating that he was in a foreign country and would sue his opponents once he returns to India. "No one has right or power to remove from the president post," he said.
