Bollywood's newest entrant Yami Gautam recently made headlines with her maiden film 'Vicky Donor' where she played the female lead in the film. The film dealt with a bold issue of sperm donation in conservative India where the protagonist earns his livelihood by donating sperms for rich childless parents. The film was a very unconventional choice to mark a debut for someone like Yami where the male counterpart had a meatier role.
However, Yami exclaimed that she prefers meaningful roles over the regular ones. She, who has done regional films also says that she prefers content over language, "You can't tag me as a regional actress. Whatever I did was considering the content over the language," said Yami.
She further exclaimed - "I started my career with television and whatever work I did was keeping the content as my top most priority. Same goes with the movies, I never grabbed any work! There were a lot of offers before 'Vicky Donor', but I wanted to wait for the right opportunity and I'm fortunate that I worked in 'Vicky Donor'," added Yami.
We hope the success of the film has opened more doors of opportunities for this talented light eyed beauty of Bollywood.
