Sanjay Gupta moves to High Court challenging non-cooperation directive recently issued against him. Pertaining to the case, Producer Vinod Bachchan filed a complaint seeking refund of the signing amount for a project.
Bachchan had approached Sanjay for a project titled 'Delhi Ka Thug' and as it was shelved, the director, Sanjay was supposed to retain the token amount of Rs.45.9 lakhs as he devoted time on the script.
Vinod said, "I don't have any personal agenda against him; I just want my money back." Sanjay on his part, filed a case against Bachchan for fraud and extortion suing him for Rs. 4.5 crore.
The hearing of the case will commence soon. Sanjay Gupta's 'Jazbaa' made a mark at 68th Cannes film festival and will hit the theatres on October 9, 2015.
