(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Courteney Cox has turned to Jennifer Aniston for emotional support after the breakdown of her marriage to David Arquette.

Courteney and David, who met on the set of the first Scream film in 1996, revealed this week they have agreed to a trial separation after 11 years of marriage. David, 39, is reportedly being comforted by his siblings while Courteney, 46, has been relying on her former Friends co-star Jennifer.

Courteney is leaning on Jen, a family source told Us Magazine. [Neither Courtney nor David] is holding up great, but they are adjusting to life on their own again.

In a statement confirming their trial separation, Courteney and David stressed that they remain dedicated to their six-year-old daughter Coco and will do everything they can to save their marriage.

Speaking on the Howard Stern radio show earlier this week, David admitted Courteney had told him she had grown tired of mothering him and they had stopped having sex months ago. He also revealed they have agreed they can see other people during their separation and confirmed rumours he had slept with 28-year-old bartender Jasmine Waltz.

David took to his Twitter account on Wednesday to apologise for being so outspoken in the wake of the split.

"Thank you all for your love and support at this time," he wrote. "I'm trying figuring out how to be the best person I can be. But it's been a process of trial and error.

"I went on Howard Stern yesterday to provide clarity and honesty about what I'm experiencing but while doing that I shared too much. It's alright for me to be honest about my own feelings but in retrospect some of the information I provided involved others and for that I am sorry and humbled."

Before he signed off, David added, "Life is a process of spiritual evolution. I'm sure Courteney and myself will emerge from this painful time better people for what we've learned." (C) Cover Media
