(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Tom Cruise and Kate Holmes "stealthily slipped" out of a Mission: Impossible premiere to get meatballs on Monday night.

The couple were clearly feeling hungry, as they headed to the Meatball Shop in New York City after being at the premiere of Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol.

Onlookers couldn't believe their eyes when they spotted Tom and Katie dressed up for the event and tucking into the steaming Italian dish.

"Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes stealthily slipped out after the New York premiere of Cruise's action extravaganza," reports New York Post. "Their mission was meatballs, and the pair headed to the Meatball Shop, where stunned fans lined up outside the joint's Greenwich Avenue location for a look."

After they had their fill of meat and sauce, the satisfied couple headed to the after-party for Tom's new movie. They arrived at MoMA with a team of security and Tom took time out to pose with fans and director Brad Bird.

Once inside, the couple were spotted laughing and joking with the cast.

Tom's co-star Paula Patton looked stunning in a short sparkly dress. She and her husband Robin Thicke danced until 2am with Queen Latifah.

Earlier in the evening, the screening for Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol was an hour late starting because Tom had been delayed while being interviewed for The Late Show with David Letterman. (C) Cover Media
