David Beckham looked the proud father as he attended a royal event with two of his sons last night in London.

The 36-year-old soccer star walked the red carpet with eldest children, Brooklyn, 12, and Romeo, nine, who all looked dapper at the Military Awards.

They were in the company of the Britain's Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William who David is friends with, having attended their wedding back in April.

David's wife Victoria and younger son Cruz and baby Harper were not along for the black tie bash and instead stayed at home.

The family had only arrived back in the Britain from Los Angeles just hours before as they will be spending their traditional Christmas holiday at their luxury mansion nicknamed Beckingham Palace.

David looked like a leading man at the event with his hair slicked back and a dark tuxedo while his two sons looked very grown up in their suits.

The father-of-four's close friend Tom Cruise, recently said that he would love to get David into the movies and thinks he should become an actor when he finally hangs up his football boots.

"He would be great," the Mission Impossible star told Us Magazine recently. "He could kick ass. David would have to teach me to play soccer first."
