David Beckham says his wife Victoria has a "big influence" on the things he does.

The soccer star is living in Los Angeles with his fashion designer wife and four children Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper.

The LA Galaxy player created his own fragrance, Instinct, and says his wife plays a big part in the decisions he makes.

"Victoria has a big influence in many things I do," the star revealed to Shortlist magazine.

"We ask for each other's opinions. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad, but we're always involved with what each other are doing, so we run things past each other all the time."

David has enjoyed a longstanding career in soccer, first rising to prominence with British club Manchester United.

However, the 37-year-old says he likes to keep his family and work life separate.

"I've always been able to do that," he explained.

"Football's always been my number one priority, other than my family, so I've always been able to keep everything else separate outside of that."
