The eccentric TV personality won a legion of fans thanks to his physique in shows like Knight Rider and Baywatch, and he still ensures he's in top shape even though the programmes have finished. The 58-year-old doesn't always feel like pumping iron at the gym, but he knows it's an essential part of his job.

"Stay in shape. Do whatever you like to do. Work out, swim, run, play sports. Fitness is my priority - this is show business," he told Esquire. "Do you think anyone wants to see a fat Hoff?"

In the past, David has said that he works out every day and stays away from sugar and salt. He's also found dancing a great way to exercise after being forced to give up jogging because of injury.

David also gave the magazines his style tips, as well as revealing the best way to stay warm in bed. "[It's] to wrap yourself around a good woman. The good woman in question should be wearing a thong. If that!" he joked.

"If you want to look stylish on the beach, you've got to drink water and wear sunscreen, you'll burn up out there otherwise. Trust me - I was in Baywatch." (C) Cover Media
