(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Adele refuses to fly British flags when she's abroad.
The 23-year-old singer is one of the UK's most triumphant exports, enjoying success across the globe with her second studio album 21.
The songstress fell ill with laryngitis earlier this year and had to cancel shows in the US last month because it was feared she could cause permanent damage by performing. She is looking forward to returning to America soon though, although has no plans to partake in any patriotic behaviour.
"They try and make me but I don't do it," she laughed when BBC Radio One host Chris Moyles commented that she is "flying the flag" for British musicians abroad.
Adele is looking forward to having her pals from home join her when she returns to the US. She always feels embarrassed recounting her glamorous lifestyle to friends, so was thrilled to give them the chance to experience things first hand when she was last in New York. She teased that they are probably getting bored of listening to her songs though.
"I flew my friends out to New York and I made them come to all the shows. I think they were a bit bored by the end," she laughed.
"All I ever do is talk about what I do so for them to come with me, I ain't gotta talk about it.
"It's wicked I get to share it with my friends, I never got to do that before." (C) Cover Media
