(Cover) - EN Movies - David Schwimmer thinks his movie about child sexual grooming should be shown in schools.
The 44-year-old actor directed Trust, which tells the story of a teenage girl being targeted by a sexual predator on the internet and stars Clive Owen and Catherine Keener.
The film has been rated with a 15 certificate in the UK, although David argues it should be shown to students at the age of 13 and 14 to make them aware of the issue.
"I would love it if someone would come and champion the idea of getting this into schools here in the UK," he told Newsbeat.
David spent seven years preparing the movie, with the script written by Andy Bellin and Robert Festinger, as he wanted to deal with the subject matter sensitively. He feels passionately about the cause, and considered film to be the ideal medium to raise awareness.
"I was really inspired by some of these child victims of sexual assault that I met over the years working with this organisation in Los Angeles," he added. (C) Cover Media
