Last Friday had 5 releases, amongst which none of them have proved to be at least an average grosser. The films 'Sanikizhamai Saayangalam 5 Mani', Captain Vijayakanth's 'Virudhagiri', 'Ayyanar' starring Aadhi and Meera Nandan in lead roles, Shaam's 'Agam Puram' and K. Bhagyaraj's 'Siddhu +2, 1st Attempt'. It was a disappointing scenario for the audiences as none of the films scored the rating more than 2 out of 5. 'Sanikizhamai Sayangalam 5 Mani' gained publicity as it was the first movie across the world to be shot in HDSLR. But it was a big letdown for the buffs as the film lacked substantiality in narrative aspects. Despites witnessing a bad opening, Aadhi and his team is vigorously promoting the film 'Ayyanar' across Tamil Nadu while K. Bhagyaraj and his 'Siddhu +2' team is appearing in TV shows to promote the movie.
