21st November 2014

After playing a Tamilian, Gujarati, Maharastrian and Goan lass in her films, Deepika Padukone will play a Bong in Shoojit Sircar's 'Piku'.

Dippy, who is shooting in Kolkata, is learning Bengali language for her character in the film.

She says, "I've played a Tamilian in 'Chennai Express', a Gujarati in 'Ram-Leela', a Maharashtrian in 'Happy New Year', a Goan in 'Finding Fanny'... and now a Bengali in Piku. It's always fun to learn a new language. It's an altogether different learning experience."

Not just the language Deepika also wants to learn the right accent for it, so she spends a lot of time interacting with the locals there.
