Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone is at an all time career high and everything is getting better for her with each passing day.
The actress who has walked away with all the 'Best Actress' awards this season for her performance in 'Ram-Leela' had four major blockbusters in the year 2013. And now after starting the year on a high with all the awards, the actress is inching towards bigger dreams.
While she already has 'Happy New Year', 'Finding Fanny Fernandes' and Imtiaz Ali's untitled next opposite Ranbir Kapoor lined up for 2014, the actress has apparently also bagged 'Shuddhi'.
Filmmaker Karan Johar's much talked about stalled film 'Shuddhi' originally had Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor Khan in the lead.
The film kept getting delayed due to Hrithik's injury and eventually both the light eyed actors walked out of the film.
Karan has however maintained that the film will indeed begin by the year end and hence the casting team is working round the clock.
The team took the script to Deepika who reportedly loved the story and lapped it up without wasting any time.
However, the team is still toying with different names for the main lead. It remains to be seen who will finally lead 'Shuddhi' opposite Deepika.
A formal announcement is expected to be made soon.
