Deepika shows her back to boldness

4th February 2011
Bollywood actresses today are known for their impeccable way to portray boldness on-screen. Be it skin show or the intimate scenes they do, to oblige the demand of the script, from donning sizzling bikinis to saucy lip-locks they go out of their way to please audiences, but Deepika Padukone has drawn her limit and wouldn't cross it on her own terms. Recently Deepika shot for a happening dancing number for Rohan Sippy's film 'Dum Maro Dum', in which she is doing an item number to the remixed tunes of classic beats of 'Hare Ramaa Hare Krishna'. But the remixed version was not only for the music beats but also the lyrics have been modified to match the younger generation's sensibilities. When Deepika heard the song and its lyrics, she refused to lip–sync certain objectionable words in the lines. She even expressed her discomfort to the director who then re-created the dancing format. And in the renewed format the lyrics would remain unchanged but Deepika would not be seen mouthing the words that are discomforting to her, instead her back will be shown during that span of time, and the song will be played in the background. Well Deepika, in a period when leading actress don't find any thing wrong in using even street level foul languages in the film, what's up with you???!!!, may be you are amongst the one who wins the game with their conditions applied
