Dennis Quaid's wife has reportedly filed for divorce.
According to US website TMZ, Kimberly Buffington-Quaid has started proceedings to end their marriage. She is also allegedly asking for spousal support and money to cover attorney's fees.
"The marriage has become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities... that destroys the legitimate ends of the marriage relationship and prevents any reasonable expectation of reconciliation," the document obtained by TMZ reads.
Dennis and Kimberly have four-year-old twins Thomas Boone and Zoe Grace together. According to the publication, there is a "temporary custody order in place", which means both parents each get time with their children.
The order also gives Kimberly "possession of their main residence and the Mercedes, while Dennis gets the Cadillac Escalade and a condo."
The actor's estranged wife is asking that their community assets be "fairly divided", but Dennis is asking for a court rule that she gets nothing.
The pair are also ordered not to say anything "vulgar, profane, obscene or indecent" to each other.
Dennis and Kimberly tied the knot in 2004. They had a testing time when their twins were born and almost died when the medical staff at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center accidentally gave them a massive overdose of the drug Heparin.
This is the Hollywood star's third marriage. He divorced Meg Ryan in 2001 after his marriage to actress P.J. Soles ended in 1983.
