(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Dennis Quaid's wife has filed for legal separation, according to reports.

Kimberly Buffington-Quaid is seeking joint legal and sole physical custody of the couple's four-year-old twins, according to TMZ.

She is also believed to be seeking spousal support and attorney's fees.

The couple has been married eight years.

Kimberly is being represented by top divorce lawyer Laura Wasser.

She filed for divorce from the 58-year-old actor in March but withdrew the petition two months later.

Dennis and Kimberly tied the knot in 2004 and share twins Thomas Boone and Zoe Grace, who will turn five next month.

They had a testing time when their twins were born and almost died when the medical staff at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center accidentally gave them a massive overdose of the drug Heparin.

This is the Hollywood star's third marriage. He divorced Meg Ryan in 2001 after his marriage to actress P.J. Soles ended in 1983. (C) Cover Media
