Bollywood's first successful crossover star Priyanka Chopra who ventured into international singing after acting in desi films, is taking Indian traditions to different parts of the world.
In her first two albums, the actress not only incorporated Hindi lyrics and traces of her Indian roots, but also made sure that it reached people across the globe. And with her third release, she has taken the idea to another level.
With her next song 'I can't make you love me' all set to release worldwide, it was recently revealed that she has included the tradition of mehendi and holi in the song. In the video, Priyanka is seen getting playful with the guy by playing holi and later by applying mehendi on his back.
When Priyanka was asked about these unusual inclusions in the video, she says, "I always try and incorporate some elements of my Indianness in everything I do in my music career. For this song, I thought it would be cool to include the mehendi and holi scenes in a way that would add value to the narrative of the video."
Well, they don't call her 'Desi Girl' for nothing!!!
