Dhanush goes out of his way to get into the skin of his character in 'Raanjhnaa'. The 'Kolaveri Di' man will be playing a Varanasi boy in the film, and to ensure that he gets a perfect grip of the character, Dhanush is going to see a series of Raj Kapoor’s films on director Anand L Rai’s recommendation.
Starring Dhanush and Sonam Kapoor in the lead roles, Raanjhnaa is an upcoming romantic film that is to be directed by Anand L. Rai and written by Himanshu Sharma. In the movie Sonam and Dhanush hail from Varanasi, but Sonam goes to Delhi to complete her education. So while Dhanush takes lessons from Raj Kapoor, Sonam will spend time in Jawaharlal University in Delhi to get into her character right.
“I'm working on a Tamil film right now and whatever time I get from that, I spend in preparing myself for Raanjhnaa. Aanand sir wants me to know the dos and don'ts of playing this character, and I'm learning all that from Raj Kapoor's films. Even though I've done 24 Tamil films, doing my first Hindi film is making me learn new things. It's refreshing” exclaimed Dhanush.
Let’s hope that Dhanush’s efforts help him in his mission!
