After a different kind of film in Kannada 'Mari Kannu Hori myage', director Kumar has now made 'Love Lavike', but it is locked in problems. Kumar, capitalizing on the 'Nagavalli' character in 'Aptha Mithra' (played by Soundaraya) kept the name of his film 'Nagavalli' but the distributors did not show any interest.

Now, for the fourth time, Kumar is trying his hand at 'Gavipuram'. He is returning to cinema after two and half years, with producer Jagannath Hegde. Alongside 'Gavipuram', there is also news that Kumar has taken up 'Besuge'. A film with a similar title was a super hit in Kannada.

Former senior cop Vijaya Sasanur, who is no more, was connected to Kannada cinema through his novels. Now his son Ajith Sasanur is gearing up under Kumar's direction.
