"Porkalam" director Bandi Saroj Kumar's micro-blogging posts are evident that he has become a huge fan of superstar Ajith.

Saroj Kumar had recently posted on his micro-blogging page - " If anybody dares to criticize "Thala" Ajith Kumar, I get offended by them, I oppose them, I can go to any extent because Ajith is a simple man. A man of honesty, a man with simplicity, a man with guts, a man with responsibility, a man who came up on his own belief and hard work."

The director elaborates: "Ajith is a star who made his own unique place in the hearts of all his fan. So stop the nonsense, he stands as an idol for all aspiring actors. He is not a great actor, not a great dancer, almost had negligible mass hits but still he stands tall".

Saroj Kumar justifies it by saying:  "Unless you are in this film industry you can’t analyse his greatness. I witnessed his glory after being the closest spectator".
