(Cover) - EN Star Style - Dolly Parton has opened up about her idea of glamour.

The 65-year-old country singer is famed for her flamboyant sense of style and voluptuous curves.

The blonde star says despite her bawdy and playful sense of fashion, there is a deeper reason behind the way she dresses.

The way I look actually comes from a very serious place, she told British television show Lorraine. I was a poor girl and I didnt have anything, I wanted to be pretty more than anything in the world. I had nothing to wear and nothing to be pretty in, so I just kind of took this image on as a country girls idea of glamour.

The music legend says her style is a reflection of her character. Dolly - who is adored for her distinctive voice - says that she is more than comfortable in her own skin.

I feel comfortable looking this way, but I am very outgoing so it kind of matches my personality, she added. (C) Cover Media
