"Krishnaveni Panchhalai" is a film set in the 50’s to late 80’s against Coimbatore once roaring cotton mills.
Hemachandran and Nandhana are the lead actresses of the film with music by Rahnandhan, who shot to fame with the songs of "Thenmerkku Paruvakattru".
The film is actually taken from the directors early days as his father was a labourer in one of the cotton mills in Tirupur area. Dr. Abdul Kalam agreed to be the chief guest at the function after hearing the film’s story.
Says director Dhanapal Padmanabhan : “It is not a generic film about labour unrest in poverty ridden factories. "Krishnaveni Panchalai" has romance, humour and friendship and will be a joyfull family outing.”
