Dubbing for animated characters, a new Bollywood trend

23rd August 2013
Dubbing for animated characters in big films has emerged as a big Bollywood trend. Priyanka Chopra has been roped in to dub for a Plane called 'Ishani' in Disney's latest animated venture 'Planes' and the actress is all upbeat about it.

She says that she had always dreamt of being a Disney Princess and this is the closest that she could come to it.

Now we hear that Vidya Balan and Ajay Devgn have also lent their baritone for an animated epic that will also feature Amitabh Bachchan and Sunny Deol's voice.

Reportedly, this news is about Jayantilal Gada's animated 'Mahabharata' that will have Vidya Balan's voice for Draupadi. Sunny and Ajay will be two of the Pandavas while Amitabh Bachchan will dub for Bheeshma Pitamaha. Nikhil Advani's 3D animated flick that released last year too featured voices by Akshaye Khanna, Govinda, Suniel Shetty, Boman Irani and Urmila Matondkar.
