Well-known South Indian actress Vedhika Kumar is all set for her Bollywood debut with Jeethu Joseph's first Hindi film opposite Emraan Hashmi.

This a crime-thriller and an official remake of the 2012 Spanish film, 'The Body'. Vedhika has made appearances in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada films and her role as Angamma in the 2013 period film Paradesi was critically acclaimed. Sharing her excitement for her debut Bollywood film, Vedhika said, "I'm so glad I waited for the right project to come my way. I’m excited and thankful."

Film-maker Jeethu mentioned that Vedhika is a true talent and she was finalised for the part after a nationwide hunt and several auditions."The character is of a young college-going girl with some innocence about her. She fits the role beautifully. Her pairing with Emraan will be fresh and one to watch out for," Jeethu adds.

The shoot for the film kicked off in the second week of May in Mumbai, next they fly off to Mauritius for an extensive schedule. The movie also features Rishi Kapoor and 'Kaalakaandi' fame actress Sobhita Dhulipala in a pivotal role.
