(Cover) - EN Showbiz - The Duchess of Cambridge and Hollywood actress Reese Witherspoon have reportedly forged a new friendship.

The pair met last month at a charity event during the royal tour where Catherine accompanied her husband, the Duke of Cambridge, for a trip around Canada and made a brief visit to Los Angeles.

Life & Style are reporting that the pair got on so well that they exchanged information and have been emailing and calling each other ever since.

"They're both high-profile women and newlyweds, so they instantly bonded," a friend of Reese's told the publication.

Catherine, 29, is said to be a huge fan of the actress while Reese, 35, is enthralled by Britain's royal family.

"Two of Kate's favourite movies are Walk the Line and Legally Blonde," the insider said, adding that Reese had recorded Catherine's wedding to Britain's Prince William in April and has it "memorised". (C) Cover Media
