(Cover) - EN Movies - Elijah Wood has reportedly joined the cast of comedy Celeste and Jesse Forever.

The 30-year-old US actor is best known for his role playing Frodo Baggins in the hugely successful

Lord of the Rings action movies, although he likes to mix up his career with a mixture of drama and comedy too.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Elijah will portray a "metrosexual" in the picture, which also stars Rashida Jones and Andy Samberg.

Rashida and Andy are set to star as a couple, Celeste and Jesse, going through a divorce but trying to stay close pals as they explore new romances. Elijah will play Celeste's business partner who wants to be her "saucy gay friend".

Lee Toland Krieger will direct the romantic comedy, which is also set to star Emma Roberts, Ari Graynor and Chris Messina.

The script has been penned by Rashida and Will McCormack, with the movie slated for a release this year. (C) Cover Media
