Elizabeth Banks loves her son just like every other mom.

The Hunger Games star is mother to 15-month-old Felix born via surrogate.

Elizabeth is elated to have the opportunity to be a matriarch.

"I don't have anything to compare it to, frankly, so I have no idea!" she gushed to People magazine. "Surrogacy was my experience, so just like every other mom, I adore my son, and I'm so grateful he's in my life. He has provided a lot of clarity for me and so much joy. He's the best thing that ever happened to me, however he happened to me."

Elizabeth's hectic professional schedule will never interfere with how she parents her son.

"I make all my decisions based on what's best for him," she shared. "I don't drag him around if I only go somewhere for a day or two. I know he's much happier in his own bed with his blankies."

Elizabeth and her husband Max Handelman are unsure whether or not they are prepared to have more children anytime soon.

"Who knows! we'll see. Whatever life brings, we're open to anything," she smiled.
