(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Emma Roberts was too scared to watch all the gruesome scenes from Scream 4 despite starring in it.

The actress, who is the niece of Hollywood star Julia Roberts, revealed that she had to cover her eyes during the first screening of her new movie because she is easily frightened.

It appears the 20-year-old inherited her nervous disposition from her mother, who, she revealed, even had to leave the cinema because the suspense and violence got too much for her.

Im very easily scared. I was covering my eyes through most of Scream 4, and I was in the movie, she told Cinema Blend. I saw it with my mom and she was like, Honey I love you but I have to step out for a moment, Im too scared, and I was like, Youre too scared? Its me, and she was like, Its just scary. So we were all horrified. I was sitting next to a bunch of people and we were all in our seats with our knees up.

Emma also revealed that starring in the movie, which is about a mysterious killer in a ghost mask who rings his victims to quiz them about horror movies before he murders them, has left her a little bit paranoid.

The actress says that her friends like to play pranks on her by mimicking the Scream killers voice.

You know, my friends keep calling me and doing the voice and saying, Whats your favourite scary movie? and as much as I know its a joke I still cant help like looking over my shoulder a little bit, because its creepy, she said. (C) Cover Media
