Emma Watson: Hermione has become a woman

23rd May 2011

(Cover) - EN Movies - Emma Watson admires how womanly her Harry Potter character has become for the franchise's final instalment.

The 21-year-old British actress is known for her portrayal of geeky Hermione Granger in the hugely successful wizard movie series adapted from the children's books by J.K. Rowling.

The franchise, which also stars Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint as young wizards, will come to an end this summer with the release of final movie Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, and Emma is proud of how mature her character has become.

"I do love Hermione. Being around the boys has definitely changed her - she's loosened up a bit. She's becoming a woman," smiled Emma.

Meanwhile Daniel, who plays title character Harry, has confessed he feels nervous about the future. Despite impressing critics with his singing and dancing talent in Broadway hit How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Daniel does worry about his career away from the Harry Potter franchise.

"These films account for 11 years of my life, so it's really very strange to finally have finished them," he explained in a special Harry Potter supplement for Empire magazine. "Potter gives you a safety net, so that if you go off in between you always know you will be coming back to Potter.

"Suddenly that will be taken away, so on a professional level it's a bit frightening." (C) Cover Media
