(Cover) - -No story type selected- - Ewan McGregor has vomited every time he has flown with his pilot brother.
The Scottish actor is extremely proud of his older brother Colin, who is currently flying combat missions in war-torn Iraq, but dislikes flying with him. Ewan says Colin is fond of daring manoeuvres that leave him gasping for air, and, more often than not, being physically sick.
Both times hes taken me up in a plane, Ive been sick, Ewan laughed to Radio Times magazine. The first time was when I was 16 and Colin had just got his private pilots licence, but there had been some underage drinking beforehand Scottish upbringing, you know. This flight involved Colin doing lots of tight loops and swoops in order to get a good look at where we lived with the predictable outcome.
The second time was when he took me up in a Tornado. Hed allocated me one small task, which was to change the radio frequency, but when the moment came, he turned a sharp corner and I couldnt lift a finger to save my life.
While Ewan was in awe of Colins decision to risk his life for his country, the actor doesnt agree with war. However, he has great respect for the people who fight them, and recently made a documentary about the Battle of Britain.
I dont like the idea of warfare. What I am interested in is how people manage to do their job when theyre in constant danger of being shot at, killed at any moment, Ewan explained.
I have nothing but admiration for the men and women who fought the Battle of Britain. They were under threat of invasion and they did something about it. (C) Cover Media
